Monitors

A Monitor is a computer output device, whose function is to transmit information to the user through the image. However, few people are interested in his story. In the 1950s, television was still new. Computers occupied several square meters, and punch cards were used to store and printed paper to display the data. These computers were used in large companies, as it was unfeasible and useless for someone to have one of these at home. At that time, it was fictional that there were personal computers, and also that they had a graphical interface (a term unknown at the time).

The technology started to advance more and more, and with the help of television technology, the monitor was created. Before the monitor, the Tele Printer was developed, which displayed the images on a television screen, thus avoiding a lot of prints. The monitor only displayed the images of the codes.

Using video game cables, most computers in the 1970's used televisions to visualize data. It was at this time that personal computers emerged. In the year 1970 the VT05 with a built-in teleprinter was launched.

In the 1980's more adaptations were made in relation to televisions and monitors began to display colors. They weren't very varied, but it was an important advance. It was also at this time that liquid crystal monitors appeared which, when they were created, were only used in notebooks, as they were very expensive and with efficiency equal to that of a common monitor.

Tube Monitors have already lost market share as they are large and consume a lot of energy. LCD monitors have come a long way, improving both image and economy. They are currently the best sellers.

Monitors are classified according to the video sampling technology used in image formation. Currently, these technologies are three: CRT, LCD and plasma. The surface of the monitor on which the image is projected is called a screen.
